October 6 to October 8 – Blue Mountains Apple Harvest Festival

You might think that a place that’s famous for skiing in the winter and boating and festivals in the summer wouldn’t have much going on in October. But it’s not so and the Apple Harvest Festival is a perfect example.

With events in both Blue Mountain Village and nearby Thornbury, festival visitors can enjoy lots of free family activities, including fish ladder viewing, live music, Apple Pie Trail, scavenger hunts, lots of apple-related fun, hiking, biking & fall driving tours.

October 13 – Everest Challenge

Want to be part of the first of what promises to be a much-anticipated annual event? And help support the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital? Then the Everest Challenge is for you.

The Everest Challenge is an exciting, new event in which teams of 2, 4, 5, 8 or 10 will climb the mountain together enough times to equal 29,092 feet, the height of Mount Everest.

October 27 – Jersey Seasons: A Tribute to Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons

The historic Gayety Theatre in downtown Collingwood, just 10 minutes drive from Blue Mountain Village has been entertaining guests for over 100 years.

Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons started entertaining their fans over 50 years ago. What happens when you bring together these two historic entertainment icons? The Jersey Seasons is fronted by Gavan Rousseau and backed by the Gem Tones. The result is a tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons that’s difficult to tell from the original.

3. Discover the Horse Whispering Experience

There you’ll discover a labyrinth of caves and crevices, including the ice cave, which is so deep, you’ll find snow and ice there into the early summer.

September 8

Canada’s Only Guitar Trail

It’s the first weekend after Labour Day and the summer fun continues right on the mountain. The Guitar Trail lets you discover and enjoy dozens of guitarists in Blue Mountain Village and up the mountain hiking trail. If climbing the mountain isn’t possible for you. You can take the gondola to the top and enjoy the music on your way back down to the Village.

Once you get there, you’ll enjoy the featured concert by legendary Canadian rocker Colin James!

September 15 & 16

Centurion Blue Mountain Bicycling Event

Whether you’re a regular racer, or you’ve never thought you’re good enough to enter an organized cycling event, the Centurion Blue Mountain is for you. With a motto of “Racers Race, Riders Ride”, cyclists of all ages and abilities can enjoy this well-organized ride through the areas around Blue Mountain. Routes include food stations along the way, OPP traffic control, and medical and mechanical support.

September 22

Creemore Springs Oktoberfest

It’s Oktoberfest in September! Roll out the barrels, dust off your lederhosen and head to Blue Mountain Village. You can enjoy German-inspired food and drink, and traditional live music, dances, games, family-friendly activities and much, much more.

Celebrate Canada Day at Blue Mountain

Not only is July 1st Canada Day at Blue Mountain, it’s the first long weekend of the summer, so you have two great reasons to celebrate.

The celebrations began even before the weekend started. The Canada Day Eve Party was hosted in Thornbury and featured live bands, a BBQ dinner, fun for the kids and ice cream too

Fireworks Displays

This is a must on Canada Day, but there seemed to be great displays of firework pyrotechnics everywhere you went. The three biggest were in Thornbury, Blue Mountain and Collingwood.

Pancake Breakfast

Ever had a pancake breakfast right under the clock tower in Collingwood? If you were here for last Canada Day at Blue Mountain you could scratch that one off your bucket list.

Fish Derby for the Kids

Catch a fish and you could have been eligible to win a prize for the largest fish, smallest fis and ugliest fish!

Here we go straight into the start of summer and there are lots of things to do in Blue Mountain. It’s amazing that we’re still considered a winter skiing destination considering how much you can enjoy here throughout the summer.

So without further ado, here are just some of the things to do at Blue Mountain in July.

Jun. 30 to Jul. 2 – Canada Day Weekend

Get set for everything from Carpet Frogs to Fireworks. The Carpet Frogs, a Canadian rock band known for their work with Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings, will headline the entertainment that runs all weekend long in the Village. But you don’t have to settle for just being entertained, you get active with guided hiking, lots of family activities and a slice of the ceremonial flag cake.

Jul. 4 to Jul. 8 – Peak to Shore Music Festival

The name might be a hint, but this festival of free music takes place across the Blue Mountain area with over 20 concerts presented on stages in the Village at Blue Mountain, Collingwood, and Thornbury.

Jul. 14 & 15 – Blues at Blue

Two days of great rhythm and blues. Headlined by the Juno-nominated Blackburn Brothers and including lots of special guests and family activities.

Jul. 18 – Opera Under the Stars

If your musical tastes run towards the sounds in opera houses around the world. Then Opera Under the Stars brings it home to you right here in Blue Mountain Village. Featuring local favourite tenor Craig Ashton and many of his Canadian Opera Company friends. This is a free, one-time performance you won’t want to miss.

Jul. 21 & 22 – Country Crossroads

Hopefully, if your favorite type of music hasn’t been listed yet. Maybe Country Crossroads will do the trick. Headlined by David James, and featuring solo artist Sacha, and The Red Hill Valleys. Who were runners-up in the 2017 Boots & Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase. This is country music in the mountains.

Jul. 27 to 29 – The Collingwood Elvis Festival

No matter what music you like, you’ll love the Elvis Festival Collingwood! The world’s largest Elvis festival. This year’s VIP host is Memphis Jones who’ll be the ringleader for all the tribute performances. Storytelling, dancing, tributes to Cher, Tom Jones, Patsy Cline, and Jerry Lee Lewis, and so much more. This is the biggest weekend of the summer at Blue Mountain.
